These responsibilities include but are not limited to selecting and training astronaut candidates; determining flight crew training and simulation requirements; recommending specific crew assignments; training and certifying payload specialists; conducting public relations activities in support of NASA programs; participating in development of timelines and procedures; providing flight crew perspective in the development of new programs; and contributing to the development, acquisition, maintenance and operation of training, administrative, and research support aircraft and supporting equipment and facilities at JSC. This is a 2014 patch design number, but the patch design itself is from 2011, so I am not sure that the date code(s) are from those years or not?Update: I have just found in my collection two prototype/sample versions of this patch with the following details on old style embedded labels: 234099 Made In USA 03/25 .(March 25th 2014)234099 Made In USA 04/09 .(April 9th 2014) I understand this is the first of a number of "older obscure" and limited edition commissioned patches they currently have in stock and will be issuing, or reissuing for sale on their website over the next few months or so.Kevin T.
